Cee Lo Green’s probation finish line has never been closer in his felony drug case. The multi-faceted entertainer got a glowing probation report, which means he will no longer need to appear in court nor keep working with Volunteers of America. This week, the former Voice coach appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom where the judge praised him for complying with the conditions of probation and for showing compassion to homeless veterans and low-income seniors he met during his mandatory community service.
Cee Lo Green is nearing the finish line of his probation, according to a California judge. On Monday, Cee Lo Green, whose real name is Thomas Callaway, accompanied by his attorney appeared at the Superior Court in Los Angeles in front of Judge David Herriford where he received nothing but praises, according to Examiner.
The “Forget You” artist has already completed 79 hours with Volunteers of America located in Los Angeles, California. According to one counselor, Mr Green was humbled and kind as he talked and worked with homeless veterans and low-income seniors at the facility. The counselor wrote in her report:
“It needs to be noted that Mr. Callaway’s experiences at VOA have been extremely impactful and ‘griss’ for his therapy.”
The report goes on to say:
“He often becomes emotional when reporting the plights of the vets we often discuss when his community services hours are completed.”
In Cee Lo Green’s probation report, it was also revealed that he attended 31 hours of individual private counseling sessions. In August of 2014, Cee Lo Green was sentenced to three years of probation and 45 days of community service.
The 39-year-old star was accused of giving ecstasy to a 33-year-old woman while the two were dining at a downtown Los Angeles sushi restaurant in July 2012. The lady stated that she woke up naked next to Green not knowing what happened during the date.
The artist, claimed that he was dating the woman and that they had a habit of doing drugs together. In 2014, the star made some outrageous comments about rape, which lead to him losing several gigs and contracts.
Green, who was part of the Goodie Mob and Gnarls Barkley, is currently working on a new album. Cee Lo Green’s probation ends on a positive note, but is this enough for a career redemption?
This man is a total thug. Not only was he convicted of felony drug charges but he has been accused several times of sexual assault. Ugh. And why would a judge praise him for completing the sentence he was given. Isn’t that what is expected for someone that is sentenced to community service especially since he didn’t get sentenced to prison which he should have been. I don’t see anyway he should be praised. Oh, unless we should praise everyone that completes their sentence no matter what crime they’ve committed. I don’t think so. Hopefully, he will never show his face again on TV, especially the Voice.
