A picture of Carrie Underwood with no makeup and spending some time with her dog has gone viral. The last time Underwood spoke about her dog, the animal had accidentally locked her baby boy in the car, and she was forced to have someone smash the window to rescue him.
Carrie Underwood is not afraid to show what she looks like with no makeup on and remains cool while doing it. The country diva took to Instagram last week, where she shared a picture of herself wearing a Printed Knit Headband and Power Seamless Double Strap Bra, all from her new fitness apparel and accessories company called CALIA by Carrie.
The singer and wife of hockey player Mike Fisher used the caption both to promote her business and encourage women to drop the makeup. She urged them to sweat, work out and make sure they “stay the path,” which is also the motto of her brand.
Underwood, who welcomed a baby named Isaiah Michael Fisher on February 27, also shared her epic workout routine. It consists of running few miles on the treadmill, doing sit-ups, push-ups and hiking several more miles on a hill with her dog, Penny. The “Cowboy Casanova” singer wrote:
“carrieunderwoodCloudy but no rain = perfect day to run outside! 1mi treadmill warm up, tabata arms and abs, finish up with a 3 mile run/lunge up the hills. I’m a sweaty mess, but fortunately I have sweet Penny to help get me cleaned up! Ew. #StayThePath #CALIAbyCarrie #NoMakeup #NoFilter #BeNice.”
The comments on the selfie were more positive than not, but one person asked few interesting questions. If, at the age of 32, Underwood is being hailed a hero for revealing her natural look, what should women over 50 or 60 do? Why are women so obsessed and attached to mascara, foundation, and lipstick? Is Kim Kardashian the culprit?
It is nice to see that Carrie Underwood has forgiven her dog because the last time Penny made headlines it was for all the wrong reasons. Few weeks ago, the dog sent her owner in panic mode after she accidentally locked her four-month-old baby in a car.
In a tweet, the new mother revealed that her brother-in-law had to smash the window of the vehicle to get the child out. The superstar explained:
“When your dogs manage to lock themselves, all your stuff & the baby in the car & you have to break a window to get in. #WhatAreTheChances. I should clarify. My bro-in-law was actually the window breaker in the ‘dogs-locked-the-car-door’ incident today! But all is good now!.Minus the broken window, of course!”
Stories of babies being locked in hot cars make headlines every day and sadly to say many of them have horrific endings. Amber Rollins, director of the child safety organization Kids and Cars, issued a statement where she praised the “Jesus, Take the Wheel” singer for her actions and for sharing her story with other parents.
Rollins explained that it can happen to anyone, and there is nothing to be ashamed of as a parent. According to the expert, the goal is to react quickly by calling 911, breaking the window and getting a locksmith. She stated:
“This happens to the type of parents who take every safety precaution and do everything they can to protect their child,” she says. “It can happen to any well-intended person. You put your keys down for two seconds and you’re distracted — there are a million different scenarios that can lock a child in a car, and it happens so quickly.”
