Brad Pitt's Mystery Bruise: Actor Explains Strange Cut

Brad Pitt’s mystery bruise explained, and no, it is not for a new movie. Over the weekend, Pitt arrived at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood for an autism-related event sporting a bruise under his right eye, which had fans worried that things were bad at home, or he accidentally ran into Jennifer Aniston’s fist. As it turned out, Pitt slipped and fell while wearing flip flops in the dark.

Brad Pitt’s mystery bruise explained, and no, Jennifer Aniston had nothing to do with it. Saturday night, Brad Pitt showed up at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood to attend the 3rd annual Light Up the Blues concert, which was put together by the Autism Speaks foundation.

Christina Applegate, Gary Cole and Amy Brenneman were also present at the concert where many artists with autism including Spencer Harte, Petra Haden, Nick Guzman and Matt Savage performed.

Mr. Pitt was casually dressed in a black dress shirt, matching pants, and boots. However, no one was really looking at the Oscar-winning producer’s outfit, all eyes were focused on the large red bruise under his right eye.

Many wondered, was Brad Pitt in a fight with wife, Angelina Jolie, or one of their six kids? Was he attacked or was the bruise for some big movie?

As it turned out, it was none of the above. Believe it or not, Brad Pitt tripped and fell while wearing slippery flip flops in the dark and bruised his face. The actor stated:

“This is what happens when you try to run up steps in the dark, with your arms full, wearing flip flops. Turns out if you then try to stop your forward momentum with your face, the result is road rash.”

Brad Pitt went on to add that despite the bruise, he was not going to miss the important event. The star claimed:

“Regardless, I wasn’t going to miss the Autism Speaks benefit the night after – wonderful people and I was honored to be a part of this important event.”

Liz Feld, the President of Autism Speaks, thanked Pitt for participating at the soirée and Jack Black, who acted as emcee. She tweeted a selfie with Pitt with the following caption:

“So great to have Brad Pitt support #lightuptheblues last night- was a wonderful night in support of @autismspeaks. Brad Pitt joins #Light Up the Blues with Jack Black @autismspeaks @MichaelRosenAS for stratocaster auction!!!”

Pitt won an auction for a Fender guitar signed by the performers from the event worth $23,000. Brad Pitt’s mystery bruise has been explained, and it may have brought a lot of attention to the cause.
