“Bodyguard” estate is for sale and can be yours for $7,995,000. According to a press release issued by Top Ten Real Estate Deals, the splendid estate that was featured in the movie The Bodyguard starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner is up for grabs.
The house sits on a 3-acre land hidden by majestic trees in South Lake Tahoe, California. It has been confirmed that the 76-foot dock where Keven Costner’s character saved Whitney Houston’s son is real. This is the first time that home is being offered since it was built over 45 years ago.
The house, which is known as the Tallac House, includes five bedrooms, a huge deck, three bunk rooms, three baths, and balconies. Other features include “vaulted ceilings accented by a massive rock fireplace, a three-car garage and the famed 76-foot pier from which to launch all types of water sports.”
The home was built in 1970 by architect Paul Hamilton for Mansfield Smith, who lived in it for 45 years. The estate is up for sale because Smith died last year at the age of 95.
“The movie’s rustic house on Lake Tahoe’s Fallen Leaf Lake where Houston’s character, Rachel Marron, was in temporary hiding from her stalker is now for sale. Known as Tallac House, it oozes ambiance and warmth from its 76-foot dock where Costner dove into the icy winter water to save Rachel’s son from an exploding boat. The home is all wood – no sheetrock used – and was also seen in the film “City of Angels,” according to the press release.
Along with The Bodyguard, the estate was also used for the movie City of Angels.
