After the tragic death of famous TV chef and travel expert Anthony Bourdain was announced on Friday, his girlfriend, actress Asia Argento, has tried to stay away from the media’s attention.
However, the 42-year-old European artist was seen stepping out of her estate in Rome on Saturday in the company of her mother, Daria Nicolodi, sister Fiore Argento, and daughter Anna Lou Castoldi.
It is believed that the group was headed to some kind event to pay tribute to the former chef since Argento was dressed in all-black attire for her trip.
On the day the news about her boyfriend broke out, Asia issued a statement, saying she was devastated by the unexpected loss of her partner. The mother of two also asked for fans to respect the privacy of the chef’s loved ones in this difficult time.
As Bourdain had shared back in his book Medium Raw, it was really hard for him to go through his first divorce in 2005. Later, the chef married for a second time to the MMA fighter Ottavia Busia, who is the mother of his only child, 11-year-old Ariana.
Shortly after his second divorce, Bourdain and Argento became a couple. The two of them met in December 2016 while on the set of Parts Unknown, the chef’s culinary and travel show on cable news network CNN. Since then, the couple had reportedly been very happy.
However, some sources have started speculating about possible issues in their relationship in the days leading up to Bourdain’s tragic end. The #MeToo activist was photographed holding hands with a male friend in Rome days before the TV chef took his life. The man was identified as a 28-year-old French reporter named Hugo Clement.
According to the mother of the deceased, 83-year-old Gladys Bourdain, her son definitely sounded in a bad mood when she last heard from him a couple of days before his death, but he was not the type of person she would expect to end his own life.
Many were surprised, but Bourdain received a lot of tributes worldwide. It is pretty clear that people from diverse background appreciated his work and devotion to his craft.
