Anna van Keulen‘s Downton Abbey‘s theme song piano performance will bring tears to your eyes. On October 28, a loving and grieving father by the name of Niek van Keulen from Holland, posted a video online of his late daughter, Anna, doing what she loved most – playing the piano.
In the clip, the happy 13-year-old played Downton Abbey‘s theme song entitled “Did I Make The Most Of Loving You,” written by British composer, John Lunn.
Mr van Keulen shared that he lost his daughter about two weeks ago. Anna van Keulen was hit by a motorcycle as she rode her bike to school.
The Dutch girl was taken to the hospital, where she died of her injuries, 17 hours after the accident. According to the dad, when Anna was alive she had a wish – she wanted to become a famous piano player. The Dutchman wrote:
“My daughter Anna wanted to be famous. Now, she has suddenly died. Help her become famous by watching.”
In order to fulfill that wish, Niek van Keulen posted a video of his child playing the piano and asked the world to share it. Internet users did just that.
In three days, the clip of Anna van Keulen playing Downton Abbey‘s theme song garnered over 1,937,255 views. Many people have contacted the mourning father with words of encouragement, and to let him know that Anna was very talented. Mr van Keulen explained:
“I can not respond to any of the numerous messages we received, so in this behalf Anna: THANK YOU !!!”
Anna Van Keulen’s dad has also received numerous requests from reporters, but declined to do interviews. He stated:
“Dear journalists: please stop calling.I do not want on radio or TV, it’s not about me, it’s about Anna. Thank you. ”
Anna Van Keulen’s love for Downton Abbey was a bit deeper, for it was also revealed that she loved acting, performed in several plays, and often talked about being a great actress one day.
