The divorce battle between famous actors Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt continues.
Apparently, Jolie’s efforts to keep her children as far away as possible have not proven successful as it was decided in the Superior Court of Los Angeles that the 43-year-old actress must allow her estranged husband to spend more time with their progeny.
For the time being, Jolie is the one taking care of Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12 and the twins Vivienne and Knox, aged nine.
After all, Jolie will be quite busy this summer with her participation in Maleficent 2, which will be filmed in the UK, meaning that she will be gone most of the time. While the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider star is away for work, Pitt can watch over the six kids.
Besides allowing their father to spend more time with the children, the court also ordered Jolie to give Pitt the contact information of all of their children, so that he could be in touch with them without the scrutiny of their mother.
So far, Jolie and Pitt have prepared a schedule for the whole summer, so it remains clear who is spending time with the children and when. While the court has allowed Pitt regular visits, they must still happen with the requirement that there is a psychologist present at every meeting.
Furthermore, the judge ruled that if Jolie fails to follow the new rules, she would be in danger of losing her primary custody of the children.
The court documents surfacing in the media is just the latest development in the tense exchanges between the two camps since their blockbuster divorce was announced in 2016.
Each side has been trying to portray the other one in a bad light. However, they still cannot find a way to split properly and reach an agreement for the custody.
