An appearance on Conan led to Adam Scott admitting that he has lice, and so did his co-star and friend, Jason Schwartzman. Scott was promoting his new movie, The Overnight, when he decided to confess to Schwartzman that his entire family had lice, and he may or may not have them too and therefore he might have passed them along to him.
Adam Scott‘s lice predicament is something that, according to health experts, six to 12 million families in the U.S. go through each year, and the first step to getting rid of the problem is to stay calm. The second step is to either see a specialist or get an over-the-counter treatment and to use a lice comb for at least three weeks.
On Thursday night, Scott and Jason Schwartzman were on TBS’ Conan and the conversation quickly turned to lice and fake penises being revealed at an elementary school. Adam Scott opened the icky ball by telling his co-star, whom he has been traveling with for months that he might have contracted lice from his wife, his daughter or his son.
The same thing happened to Heidi Klum few months ago. Before he spoke one word, Conan O’Brien told the audience that what was about to happen was not a joke, was not staged, it was all real. Adam Scott turned to Jason Schwartzman and confessed:
“That’s right, thanks, Conan. I for real — we’ve been traveling around together around the country promoting the movie now for a few weeks and I feel like we’ve been spending a lot of time together, which I have enjoyed. But I need to tell you something, which is my family, I learned yesterday, has lice. So I don’t know if I have lice or not…”
Schwartzman was shocked by the news and explained to Scott that he hates lice more than the average person. He said:
“I’m so afraid of lice. When I was a kid the two main things I was constantly afraid of were lice and being kidnapped. In the 1980’s, what’s his name? McRough? Even now when I see a van I freak out and turn and walk away. I’m very afraid of lice. I can’t believe you’re telling me this now I feel like my head is already –“
The television host and comedian invited two nitpickers to come out and check the actors hair and beard for lice. It all ended well because the duo was lice free.
Adam Scott was memorable with his lice segment, and Jason Schwartzman topped him by explaining that he accidentally showed a picture of himself naked with a fake penis to his child’s teacher.
